A Mother’s Day Market was held at The Waterlot, a well-known and historic spot in New Hamburg, on Sunday, May 3.
The event brought together many local vendors and gave residents a chance to find a special gift for mom. The market was spearheaded by Sarah Tieleman, owner of Sew Rustic Candle and Gift Company, a homebased business in nearby New Dundee.
“It is so exciting to showcase an amazing group of talented local artisans,” Tieleman said.
Shoppers could choose from a wide range of items, including candles, pottery, beauty products, watercolour art and other handmade gifts. Visitors were encouraged to shop local and support small businesses while picking out the perfect Mother’s Day gift.
Instead of an admission fee, guests were invited to make a cash donation at the door. All donations went to support the Wilmot and Wellesley Resource Centre.
