Woodstock’s beloved groundhog, Chilly Charlie, emerged from his burrow at South Gate Centre on Feb. 2 and predicted an early spring.

The highly anticipated annual event drew a crowd of more than a hundred eager spectators, including families and city officials. At precisely 8:15 a.m., Chilly Charlie made his prediction, signalling an early end to winter.

The excitement continued as attendees gathered for a delicious buffet breakfast, served from 8:30 a.m. to noon.

This fun-filled tradition, featuring Woodstock’s own Chilly Charlie, once again brought the community together to celebrate Groundhog Day in style.
