Shakespeare Presbyterian Church is opening its doors once again and inviting the community to enjoy an afternoon of music.
As part of the Shakespeare Concert Series, the church will host Curbstone, an a cappella quintet performing songs from a variety of genres and decades. The group features Mark Stevens (baritone), Aiden Scott (beat boxer, vocal percussionist and vocals), Phil Rance (bass), Ian Scott (lead) and Will Makra (tenor/arranger).
Concert organizer and church organist Paul Hyatt says the quintet is “incredibly talented,” adding it promises to be an entertaining afternoon.
The concert will also highlight talented young local musicians, including solo singers, a pianist and a violinist.
The event takes place on Sunday, May 24, at 2:30 p.m. Admission is by donation at the door, with proceeds supporting music programs in local schools.
Everyone is welcome to attend and enjoy an afternoon of live music.
